What I was trying to do
I created this for Rainbow Jam 18 - a game jam focused on LGBTQ++ themes. What I wanted to do was use Game Guru (a 3D game engine primarily aimed at creating 1st person shooters) to make an exploration game with a narrative about LGBTQ++ safe spaces, and ultimately the goal was to reach various safe spaces without the zombie hordes destroying you. It had elements of interactive fiction - discovering the narrative and thoughts of your character as you went along. It included safe spaces, such as the main character's home, a huge bottle of wine, and internet forums. I like the landscape modelling in Game Guru & wanted to create an enclosed space, so went for huge day glo mountains and moats. It was actually my first proper game created in Game Guru. I'm happy with how it turned out as a first attempt, but I've found that maybe it's a bit too fast once it's been turned into an executable. I'm not sure how many people played it though, as it wasn't web based - some people would rather not have to download the games. It could do with some tweaking in the narrative and design.
