Thanks all. The idea is that it was a piece of interactive fiction for a creative jam (Gothic Novel Jam), so was never intended to be a game - it's a tale that you read and pull all the parts together to make sense of what is going on.
Oh, really cool. I love the concept of travel guide / mystery and the interweaving of place-as-tourist-destination with place-as-scene-of-personal-tragedy is really effective.
Thanks for getting it. :-) I'm hoping I can finish it off properly after the cliff hanger.
more like an app than a game
I'm not an expert of literature, so it's a bit hard to say much about a game like this. The interactive story rolls slowly along, the detailed descriptions of landscapes and other settings are enjoyable to read. The pictures aren't much, so it's practically a text-based game, but the text is good.
